Two CIHR funded postdoctoral fellowship positions are ailable at the University of Calgary, in Alberta, Canada. Our lab uses in vitro whole cell patch, in vivo multiunit extracellular recordings, high field MR imaging, and immunohistochemistry to investigate the mechanisms of action of therapeutic brain stimulation in small animal models. In addition, plementary neurophysiology experiments are carried out in patients with deep brain stimulators, measuring movements and psychophysical effects of stimulation.Candidates must he a PhD with a strong background in electrophysiology and/or behioral neuroscience, and a publication record in respected scientific journals. The first position requires whole cell patch experience. The second position requires experience with one or more of the following: extracellular neurophysiology, MR imaging, immunohistochemistry, animal models or putational modeling. A petitive salary and benefits will be mensurate with experience, in accordance with CIHR guidelines.
